The Documents needed for your wedding in Italy...

CIVILLY WEDDINGS:
Taorminaholidays can provide only catholic weddings or civilly weddings (for every country in the world). 
The required documents for civilly weddings in Italy vary basing on your country of origin.  As soon as we will know your country of origin we shall post you a list of all necessary documents helping you to fulfill the required procedure.
When you have received all the documents we shall first ask you to send us a copy by fax or by mail and shall present them at the Taormina Town Hall to check that everything is ok and that nothing is missing.  Then we shall ask you to send us the originals.
CATHOLIC  WEDDINGS (general)

e shall inform you accordingly if some othe rdocument is needed basing on your country of origin
 1. Formal letter from your  priest stating his permission for the wedding in the Italian  Church of Taormina (ME) ITALY.  This letter must certify that your priest knows you and allows you to get married at the Italian  Church of Taormina (ME) ITALY.   This letter must  be written on the letterhead paper of your Parish.  The letter from the priest must also state that you have attended the premarital classes.

2.  Your priest must also get a letter from the Bishop of the parish stating what mentioned in paragraph 1.  The letter  must certify that you have no impediment to get married at the Italian  Church of  (name of the church) in Taormina (ME) ITALY at the date ... (the date you want to marry). 

3. Your parish must also issue an original prenuptial inquiry form (written on letterhead).  Such inquiry form includes church seals/signatures.  It is a kind of questionnaire and must include your dates, names and general religious data and it must end with the final approval of your priest so that you can marry, and his final signature.  This document must be stamped by the local Bishop's office (NOT just your priest).  Then this document has to be sealed by your local Bishop.

5.  PRE-WEDDING CERTIFICATES

These certificates must be stamped and sealed by the local Bishop's office.

Pls note that if
you have been divorced in the Catholic church you cannot marry in the Catholic church of Taormina. 

Documents should not be done more than 3 months in advance or they expire. (excep the baptism, holy communion and confirmation
